Six of us at the March 7 meeting shared our experience and interpretations of the concept of freedom. We read out loud the following article written by Rav Berg on the Kabbalah Centre Website: The REAL Meaning of Pesach. After discussing some of the concepts in the article, we decided that the theme for the Wednesday, April 4 meeting will be Passover. And it's during the week of Passover.
So, the food, which is always important, will be even more important because the spiritual, traditional or nontraditional, or personal meaning of the food item on the Passover plate will be discussed. Each person will bring one item to make up both the vegan seder plate plus the cooperative dinner. For example, if your bring a bitter herb for the plate you could make something simple for the vegan dinner that includes bitter herb. Please click here to read about vegan Passover foods and let me know if you have questions.
Reading material about the meaning of Passover, foods and the story will be much appreciated. Alex could bring his book about the Kabbalistic meaning of Passover.
After our last meeting I thought about the concept: The desire to receive for the self alone as something that allows the force of darkness maybe enslavement. This was explained by Rav Berg in the article The REAL Meaning of Pesach. At the meeting we talked about the difference between taking care of yourself and greed because both could be interpreted as the "desire to receive for the self alone." I think if one is truly taking care of her/him self in a heart centered compassionate way, then we are automatically receiving for the self and the greater good. We become channelers of light.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Let me know if you have any questions or ideas for our next meeting.
Happy Daylight Savings!
