Just four of us met last night. During dinner we watched a ten minute video of Karen Berg, of the Kabbalah Centre, speaking about celestial influences during which she described how the stars impel rather than compel. We are influenced and we influence. Because we are part of nature including the stars, perhaps it's a good idea to observe what is happening in the natural world and live our lives in harmony. Instead of thinking of planetary influences as controlling what we do, as in don't make any decisions when mercury is in retrograde, we could think of planetary influences as partners. We could just tune in with our awareness.
Following the video we had a discussion that included the impact of unexpected events, expansion and contraction, loving our bodies as temples for our souls, and the cycle of life and death. My take away is always that I am learning how to listen and how to expand love in my life. Expansion includes contraction.
Our next meeting is Monday, March 2. We are planning to watch Lesson 2 of the Kabbalah One class.
